Hello my lovelies!
I know that we've been gone for- wait, how long? It can't- really? Wow, well it seems like we've been gone for over a full year. Apologies for that, uh, I guess life gets in the way sometimes. I will be honest about these types of things though, life is the reason why we just aren't on here anymore. Several of us, who have dedicated our lives to this site when younger blood coursed through our veins, have grown older and more responsibilities have been placed on our broadening shoulders. Yes, it is sad to see our beloved admins and citizens succumb to the same virus that is: aging.
We have university, and school debt, and feeding ourselves, and dealing with our personal lives such as partners, family, friends, jobs, ect. We have everything that life could hand us on our shoulders now because it is the world we live in. It is such a sad thing because I know, without a single fragment of doubt in my mind, that we all wanted this site to succeed, and I'm not saying in won't. It's just going to be stagnant for a while.
My beloved Flynn and I may pop in every once in a while (strangely we had the same idea to visit our old stomping grounds today within a few hours of each other), but we just don't have the time (or personal resources) to spend on SSW that it so desperately deserves.
I don't mean for it to sound creepy, but SSW is like Flynn and I's child (in a weirdly parental way of describing our love for the site). We have put hours, literally hours, and nights and days on this site. Preparing it, dreaming for it, writing it, plotting it out, discussing, and coding (mainly Flynn) it all out that it's only natural that we want the best for this site. We may visit and go on "revamping" kicks that only seem to last a few days, but our hearts are in the right place.
We wanted so much more for this site than what it got. We were in the process of developing an insanely cool plot that would have rocked your socks off had we continued with its development. But life happened for both of us I guess.
This isn't a goodbye letter, by any means, but it's just stating where my personal feelings are (and I know many of which I share with Flynn) and why we disappear, but we want so much for SSW. So in our absence, just keep on trucking and RP'ing even when we're gone. Encourage one another and be there for each other when life gets in the way. Write like the devil is chasing you and never look back! I believe in each and every one of you.
