seapaw
and the arms of the ocean are carrying me
NAME: Seapaw
AGE: 6 moons
GENDER: She-cat
CLAN: ThunderClan
RANK: Apprentice
and all this devotion was rushing out of me
SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Sandy tan she-cat with blue green eyes and white paws.
APPEARANCE:
Small, dainty like she-cat with a sandy tan colored pelt, white paws and blue green eyes. While she might seem small and dainty, this she-cat is actually quite nimble and quick on her paws. Her paws are small, but makes up for it with a slightly elongated tail and big ears. Her head is a rough heart shape and she has moderately long fur, often looking like she just woke up. The underneath side of her belly is a slightly darker tan color tan the rest of her.
Seapaw's paws may be small, but they get the job done when it comes to prey. However, her body is small enough to help her get into small spaces to hide. This also helps make her fur look even more out of place and filthy afterwards. Even when maintaining her somewhat long fur, the she-cat still looks like something the dog dragged in.
During rainy days her white paws become dark brown from the mud. And when it dries in her pelt it takes forever for her to get it out. At times like these the she-cat looks like she went through a battle zone. Though her eyes shine despite this to show that she doesn't mind.

PERSONALITY:
Seapaw is a gentle, but stern she-cat. While at times she wants to mess around and have fun she is also somewhat serious about her training. At six moons she is just starting her training and looking forward to learning. She's a fast learner and she is pretty good at hunting, which she enjoys. Despite this, Seapaw dislikes any cat not a warrior or her mentor or parent telling her what to do. She feels that one should make mistakes to learn from them, which she often does.
Aside from being a fairly good hunter she is also a pretty good tracker. She can't track through any kind of water, but if the conditions are right she can tell you what has been through an area and how long, if it's been within a couple of days. Seapaw is also a pretty good swimmer and actually enjoys it. While the rest of her Clan might think it a little odd that she can swim well, this she-cat figures that this skill could be useful for her Clan sometime in the future, though this is kept to herself.
This young she-cat gets along well with her littermates, but not her older two brothers. While she is closer to Eaglewing than Rabbitheart doesn't mean much to her. Both the older toms feel that they are better than their younger siblings even though Eaglewing has given some pointers to Seapaw and her littermates from time to time. And don't get her started on her parents. Seapaw loves them, but they are so overprotective of Seapaw and her brother and sister that she sometimes gets a little sick to the stomach from it. Her mother's littermate, Redheart, though is a cat that Seapaw can relate to.
Often times Seapaw helps look after Ivykit and Mousekit when Frogleap and Redheart are out of the camp. Seapaw just makes sure that the kits stay in camp. Whether they get in trouble or what they can or cannot do is left to Dawnwhisper. Seapaw enjoys spending time with Ivykit and Mousekit. It often reminds her of her own kit days.

but the arms of the ocean delivered me
MOTHER: Dawnwhisper
FATHER: Gracklewing
SIBLINGS: Rabbitheart (older brother), Eaglewing (older brother), Juniperpaw (littermate, sister), and Wolfpaw (littermate, brother).
OTHER FAMILY: Here
MENTOR: TBD
HISTORY:
Seapaw was born to Dawnwhisper and Gracklewing in the height of Greenleaf. She was the last of her littermates to be born and was born somewhat smaller than the other two. She isn't a runt, but she isn't quite as big as Wolfpaw or Juniperpaw. Even as a kit this she-cat had always been trying to get into trouble. She learned young, and from Redheart no less, that it's better to ask forgiveness than permission. Seapaw was always a troublemaker as a kit and dragged Wolfpaw and Juniperpaw along with her. At first the three always argued about what should be done, but Seapaw told them that their experiences and choices would define who they were and so the three cats got into trouble together.
Sometimes the she-cat would accept tips from her older brother, Eaglewing, but not always. Seapaw actually enjoys getting in trouble so she knows what she can get away with and what she can't. And she also enjoyed playing jokes on other cats. One time the she-cat hid behind the nursery among the dirt making place while the Clan scrambled trying to find her. She got into trouble of course, but that experience gave her insight on what she knew she couldn't do.
During that first leafbare, Seapaw found herself straying farther and farther from camp just to try and keep warm. Even though she was nearing her apprentice ceremony, the she-cat knew that the cold season was not a good time for any cats of any of the Clans. On more than one occasion the she-cat got into trouble for leaving the camp though on her fourth excursion out she had managed to snag a squirrel late to hibernation. While the squirrel was not much, Seapaw was really proud that she helped feed her Clan for a little while.

WRITING SAMPLE:
A sandy tan she-cat padded quietly through the quiet woods. She had once again snuck out of the camp in order to do some exploring. She was glad for her somewhat long pelt to help keep the cold out. Her breath came out in puff bursts while her ears listened around her. The she-cat knew how to avoid the patrols so she wouldn't be found out quickly. Recently the she-cat's older brother, Eaglewing, had told her of a good hunting place a short way from the camp. The she-cat wanted to see if she could find it or if he was just yanking her tail. Her mind was a whirl of emotions and possible outcomes. Everything she did she knew would shape her future and Seapaw knew that she wanted to be one of the best Clan cats that there was.
Suddenly there was rustling to her left. Cautiously the she-cat sniffed the air and only tasted squirrel. While she wasn't sure if she was in the right place, she knew that the Clan could use this piece of meat. She crouched and crept forward. While she wasn't an apprentice yet, the she-cat wanted to impress her Clan by bringing something back for them. Of course she also knew that she would probably be looking after the Elders after this little stunt, but bringing back the squirrel would be worth it. Seeing the apprentices and warriors practice their crouches and hunting styles gave Seapaw an idea. The she-cat was a quick learner and therefore took a little bit of everything and put it into her own style.
Finally, the she-cat pounced. The squirrel had no time to do anything before Seapaw killed it and dragged it back to camp... just in time to run into a patrol. Upon seeing her the cats of the patrol took the young she-cat back to camp. She was praised for having caught the squirrel, but not long after she was told to go take it to the Elders and Queens and then make sure the Elders were looked after. However, Seapaw was proud. At least the Queens and Elders got a little something to continue for another day in the bleak world.
